My little product review on a miracle beauty drink(Brands Innershine OPC)

[Product review]

Thanks to Innershine OPC, I now have fair and radiant skin :)

I now realize how important smooth, and youthful skin is because having to wear make-up daily for shoots and hosting jobs actually clogs up my pores. As I have sensitive skin, anything I drink or eat may result in a reaction with a break out on my face *gasps*, but I actually found a miracle beauty drink which is Innershine OPC. It allows me the liberty to drink it once a day, keeps me regenerated with antioxidants, AND looking good. Plus, it tastes like berry juice but much better which keeps me coming back for more!! J

Romanantic Melaka

By now, you are probably wondering whether I actually get paid by Melaka tourism board to promote the state, but I don't! It's just that everytime I go back to Melaka for hosting work, I seem to fall more in LOVE with it...

Keep finding interesting and exciting new things along the Straits of Melaka which I want to share with you guys :) This time, Ben and I had so much fun exploring the sights along the river of Melaka!

Where am I again?

They now have cobbled stone pathways facing the river of Melaka for pedestrians enjoying the sights, feels like you are walking alongside the river in Venice(kidding you not:p)

There's always food involved...Please try out the waffle hotdog when you are walking on Jongker st

A windmill behind Ben eh? Holland probably?

As for me, he took a picture of me and Stadhuys, another picturesque sight

Can you believe we were actually standing opposite each other but we managed to capture two different views? So much to see in such a small area already!

Where does this look like to you? Somewhere in a European country fosho right? Not in Malaysia...

Ben even found a classic sofa

Now, they even have bars dotting the riverside for people to enjoy the breeze while sipping on their beers which actually reminds me of London along the river Thames

Melaka can be a very romantic place just for a weekend getaway from the city life or if you just want to feel like you are in another place altogether and not  in Malaysia! The riverside cruise or a walk along the river is definitely a recommended activity! Hope you guys enjoyed my mini tour.......

Looking Luminous with Brands Innershine OPC @ Fullhouse, Sunway Giza

Remember the beauty secret in a bottle I told you about? I can finally reveal to all of you what it is, so you can try it out for yourselves!!!!!

Not one for being selfish about beauty products that can enhance one's beauty from within, especially when we are talking about your health! I will finally share with you a little more on the recent launch to unveil the latest innovative product by Brands which is the *drum roll*

"Brands Innershine OPC"

The Brands group clearly knew how to entice girls to their launch because they chose an apt location which is cute and sweet at the same time

None other than Fullhouse Sunway Giza

People started rolling in during the wee hours of the morning..probably because Brands Innershine OPC promotes beauty from within, they thought morning launches will be good to get people up and running about which I like...so I am NOT the only one awake in the morning :p

Told you it was sweet, and youthful which draws females in

Posing next to the huge banner for Brands Innershine OPC, which has the brand ambassador, Penny Tai, a Malaysian singer and songwriter who is now famous in Taiwan! You go local artistes!

*Drools* Can I have a few more boxes??????? I loved the taste so much!!! There are 8x50 ml bottles in one box which can lasts me for a month if I have 3?!?

And they have a bigger one on stage?!?!

Throngs of media and bloggers at the launch probably hoping for one box too..or was it just me?!?!

Dr Keiichi Abe(Vice President of the Regional Research & Development division of Cerebos Pacific Limited), who presented the science behind Brands Innershine OPCwhich lies in the powerful anti-oxidant benefits of OPC.
Since I learned so much from Dr Keiichi Abe about the wonderful ingredients that makes your skin youthful and luminous by providing nourishment to your body from within, it's time to share a little more. Anyway, sharing is CARING right?

Plus, I want to tell you guys more so you know what you are purchasing before getting it. The secret to this bottle of magic lies in one main ingredient which is called Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin Complexes(OPC). Other than its high antioxidant property, OPC has been known to exhibit anti-inflammatory activity, strengthen blood vessels, and prevent degradation of collagen and elastin. OPC "locks and strengthens skin collagen to keep it firm as well as combat free radicals to help the skin stay young."

It's also stronger than vitamin C by 20 times and Vitamine E by 50 times. Now you don't have to take those long, nasty pills, you can just drink one bottle of Brands Innershine OPC for your daily dose of vitamins and antioxidants :)

To find out more, you can "like" their facebook page HERE

Start your beauty regime for the day with just one bottle of Brands Innershine OPC  which is available on shelves at all leading pharmacies, supermarket and hypermarkets nationwide!!

Soapstar NOT pornstar y'all!

Everyone knows that we Malaysians are a greedy lot, not because we are born that way or anything, but because we have a variety of super good food to eat in Malaysia right? We just can't help it:)

Talking about food, everyone loves dessert too no? If dessert can be categorized as a "food type" in general, desserts would be at the top of my favourite food list...but now I have to choose....from

Ice creams

The new "in" thing, macaroons

And even cupcakes

Stop right there! You are probably going to ask me where these cute delectable desserts are from...but they are not what you think! They are actually soaps....One creative Malaysian girl fused her passion for eating with her talent to create soaps into just any shape she wants....She of course, chose desserts as her designs which I do not object to at all...

These soaps seen above look very real that when people see it, they always think that I am offering them some type of food! And that's what I truly like about these soaps from Soapstar, the authenticity of how it looks and the way it smells! Besides feeling clean, it leaves you feeling sweet smelling, even rivalring the Victoria's Secret Garden collection perhaps?

And one more thing I MUST highlight about these super cute soaps is the fact that it's really cheap! A set cost LESS THAN RM10(3USD). Don't believe it, check out their latest designs here and to place an order, just click on this link: http://imasoapstar.blogspot.com/

Not a beauty secret anymore!

Yesterday was a really hectic day for me, aaahh...what am I talking about, the whole week was insane! It's because I am currently hosting a tv show(will tell you more when it's out) now, doing voice overs for the three different cartoons on Astro Tutor TV SPM, hosting events AND writing my Phd papers tooo!!!!! KKRRAAZZYY!!!

Here was how my schedule looked like yesterday:

5.45 am : Wake up to get ready

7.15am: Traffic jam my way down to KLCC

8.00am: Arrived for hair and make up for the shoot

9.30am: Found out it was postponed after make-up, WTH?!?!

10.00am: Head to Bangsar for a meeting

1.15pm: Head to Inti College to lecture

4.00pm: Rush back like Speedy Gonzales for a quick "mandi kerbau"(cow shower because it is quick!)

5.00pm: Head for another meeting (where I met a very rich Datuk who was really arrogant)

7.00pm: Rushed for the Guess watch Launch

9.00pm: Traffic jam my way back to KLCC again for the shoot which I couldn't even arrive as stipulated because I was stuck on Kerinchi link for 45 MINUTES!!!!

12.00am: Went to sleep a tired tired girl!

And due to my parent's insistence to take care of my health, I have a few "beauty regimes" that I maintain to keep healthy and hopefully looking "presentable" , or elseI would look like Fright Night! As I don't or hardly exercise because of my tight schedule( I try to ok!!!!), I supplement my health with other things, some pretty nasty stuff such as....

A tasteless drink of wild mushrooms which is an antioxidant...yuck!

The mushrooms soaked in water

Noni Juice which is also another antioxidant made of fresh fruits and natural extracts, which I always forget to drink....SHUCKS!

Neem Tablets for the skin

Barley Foochok a couple of times a week boiled with love by my grandmother so I don't get sore throat!

But don't you guys think this is very tiring? Plus, knowing some of us lazy girls like myself, I alway FORGET to take one or the other unless someone pesters me..... This regime actually begun only when I fell ill a couple of times the past few months, which is a sign of unhealthy eating and sleeping habits + STRESS!

To unveil my latest find, I found a beauty supplement which is a drink that can be consumed daily and gives you all the antioxidants that you will need from berries extract with the main active ingredient being OPC. It keeps your skin looking firm and refreshed! ANNNNDD, it tastes REALLY good, just like grape juice:) Yumz!!!

But if you are curious of OPC, it is actually Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins Complexes in short, it has powerful antioxidants, and it is said to be 20 times more powerful than Vitamin C, 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E. Too good to be true, huh?

Nope, I swear by it daily now. Time for consolidation peeps! All the above I have shown you into one small bottle which I carry with me anywhere I go to be healthy and looking fresh!

What is it? You will find out soon......In the meantime, you can check out their FB or Website for more information, or my "like" badge!!

Spa treatment for HAIR in the comforts of your house

AAAhhhhhhhhh!!!! This was how I actually felt when a talent agent, and a hairstylist for a shoot I was on actually commented on my hair and told me that my hair was dry! By the way, the talent agent was a guy, he asked me this...

" Mei Sze, why don't you put conditioner?"

To my dismay and embarrassment, I replied in a non-assuming manner that I really didn't care about my hair, and he gave me a "tsk tsk, how can you not when you are in this industry?". It's weird when your closed ones(such as family and friends) tell you that you really need to change something and we usually don't heed their advice, but when a third party tells you, it sounds much more daunting because you feel that the person is NOT oblige to tell you and has to do so because it is really BAD!

Finally went over to The Met @ Parkroyal for a much needed haircut, and they actually recommended me to try a "spa for my hair" which can actually be done at HOME TOO! Firstly, I never knew such a thing existed, because I really am not for one to care about my hair. I know there are treatments, but this one actually makes your scalp feel really calm and relaxed.

The Redken Nature's Rescue Home care

I thought that it was brilliant that Redken came up with this idea because I wouldn' t want to sit another 1 1/2 hour doing a treatment after my cut and color, I would probably get a sore on my butt! There are four steps:

1. Wash Away daily stress and product build up (Washing my hair has never been so refreshing)

2. Refine coarse hair like min by removing excess impurities and polish hair surface

3. Replenish your hair  up to the roots by moisturising your hair while soothing the scalp

4. Uplift the hair  by a spraying with a leave - in . It restores the senses and add light beachy tecture to the hair, much like how my hair looks like while blow drying

The handicraft of the Replenish Nature Care products and a cut by Alex! I do hope I won't get those comments anymore..... and it actually taught me a lesson to take better care about my hair. It should be a complete package from head to toe, not just neck to toe....LOL!

Mom's cut with the stylist Alex. She was pleased as a peach because she said no one can cut her hair with enough layer to make it looked perm!

AAAww, the Met is soo sweet! They put my  front cover in front of their shop, probably to show off their handicraft on my hair!

Now, all of you can go to ahead and try out a spa treatment on your hair too!!! You can ask to get it done there, or just buy the products and do it at the comforts of your home(that option is my pick in the future).  People  constantly ask me where I get my hair done for it's cut and color, and I always say the same place, "THE MET". Although it is at Park Royal Hotel in KL, it is definitely worth the journey. You will step out of the shop feeling satisfied and with a brand new look:)

Quickly make your appointments, their address and contact:

The Met KL,
9-10 Ground Floor president house,
Park Royal Hotel,
Jalan Sultan Ismail.

A sanctuary in the middle of the city

Been so out of some *love* towards my body for soooo long.... Due to my hectic schedule running around, I have been trying to schedule a pampering session for myself for far too long, and the best part is, it doesn't materialize! I am sure many of us say we will go to the gym, workout, get a massage, do our nails, shop, and basically spend some time rejuvenating and refreshing ourselves, but delay it till we actually forget about it right?

After 4 months of waiting, a close friend of mine suggested a Spa day out for her birthday, and I am glad she did, because it was finally time...an excuse to get some pampering.... at Khareyana spa in the heart of Petaling Jaya with some of my closest friends( Happy Birthday May!!!). I guess I am featuring it because it is not your normal spa in a hotel, but in a bungalow house off the beaten tracks of shopping centres and businesses. Best part is,it's such a sanctuary for rest and relax. How?

Once you enter, parking is available for you right away, one huge sigh of relief there...

Enter into a woody, and welcoming environment

While waiting for your turn, you are given a myriad of oils to choose from with wonderful scents

At the waiting area with Julie

Entering into our "couple" room... Oh la la! And guess what guys? you have to pass through these stone steps to get to each room..unique eh?

Each room is fully equipped with a shower, bathtub, and sink

Taking our girly pictures after our scrub + massage...all our faces were glowing after some much needed pampering :)

If you are looking for a place to just chill from the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city and basically work + stress + KL traffic jam, do consider Khareyana spa! You know me, I won't recommend a place unless I think it's worth your time. It's reasonably priced(cheaper than most hotel spas) and once you step inside, all your worries are lifted from you because of the tranquility of the design...

If you guys have other great spas you want to share with me, please do as I want to try it out!! Remember to love yourself too even if you are busy k guys???? I learnt my lesson the hard way... I was too stressed recently that I kept falling sick..the result of negligence to my own health and wellbeing :(
