New Year's trip discovery(new glasses?)

Happy Happy New Year!!!! Can't believe this will officially be the first post of the year..... What did everyone do for new years eve??????? I'm sure something exciting right?!?! Mine was pretty boring according to "normal" happening people's standard but I had to...boo hoo~ because a group of us had  a plane to catch at 7am to Cambodia. To quote the "smart" person who bought it after much complaints from me about the crazy early flight on New Year's day...

He said "At least we get to spend New Year's day in a foreign land"!!!!!

My thoughts and reply were "Yea, good thinking but a little later puh-leese" (We could still have spend all of our first day of the the 2011 in a foreign land but a few hours later, am I right folks?)

Anyway, what I did due to the circumstances I was in was to enjoy a pleasant dinner with my family and  headed to a small bbq at a friends house(more like crashed it last minute!) after:) Not too shabby in my books...

Super long dinner at Summer Palace...waited 3 hours for our food  to come in 20 minutes interval..I felt like they were trying their best to prolong the food coming so we can maybe countdown with them???

Karen's last minute bbq for NYE which tasted so good! I didn't know how I found more room for food....

Played wii after eating...awesomeness!

And then it was home to sleep to be able to pull myself up from bed at 4am!ugh! When we arrived at Cambodia at 7.35am....the sun was scorching already and the interesting part was that it was considered the "cooling" period of the year...... When everyone pulled out their shades....I realized my silly mistake to have forgotten my Oakley's!!!!!!!!

Not only that, I realized how bad my vision has become when I tried taking pictures..as you can see, my vision was quite blurry that my first picture turned out this way or either my hands were shaky... our van in Cambodia!

And that was a sign to me get my eyes checked....trust me, I think I have astigmatism  since young but everytime I get my eyes checked, they always say it's 20/20(even in Hawaii). Not to be super kiasu but I seriously think I have eye problems but no one ever confirmed my beliefs!!!...That leaves me no choice but to trust them right until I found a new eyewear boutique located very close to my house called Malaya Optical. Not only do they have a wide range of state of the art instruments to test for visual acuity and screens for eye health, their store carryies a wide selection of branded and unique selection of eye wear and contact lenses!!!!!! Furthermore, Malaysia's 1st professional eye wear stylist and designer is housed right at Malaya Optical.

So, if I were to get tested at Malaya Optical this Saturday as I will be attending an event there and they find out that I really do have astigmastism, I wouldn't mind getting fitted with one of their designer eyewear. Can you imagine killing two birds with one stone? Looking good and correcting blurry visions!!!!

Get glasses that look like this? Kendra and I trying on fashion glasses for a day to see "how I would look in glasses"....lol...don't judge!

If you think I look bad with my fashion glasses, maybe I can get colored contacts or even normal acuvue ones as Malaya optical carries different brands for contact lenses too. Guess what? they are having a promotion for colored contacts...maybe I should try them out to see how I looked in them..you can too??? hehehe....
