Water water water sphering!

what is that??????????????Its something super super fun which I think is a new trend in Malaysia after people started  finding out about it. I was really really excited to blog about this for the longest time but as usual clumsy me forgot to bring the camera cord back to Hawaii with me!!!! So I have been waiting this whole time to upload pics and stuff......and well..on a side note! Do not send like "long yok" or I think its called "bak kwa" to the US of A, becase my mom sent me some along with the cord and they took it all away:(

back to water sphering, it's rather hard to explain but it is an inflatable ball and humans go inside the ball and you roll round and round in it with water or not splashing around!!!!I know I am sper bad at describiing it but here are the pics to justify my explanation.

Cheng May and Amanda in the sphere!

My bro, his friend and Jason preparing to go into the sphere and roll allll the way down..... :)

We were like lil hamsters because we got into the ball and rolled up the hill...you know the whole scene where hamsters are rolling on the tread mill like thing but its round???!!??

Like this!!!!

But......we kept falling down..its not easy okay!! especially when somene outside kept pushing it forward...arrrggh...i Kept falling and falling!!!

Ben and Jason...enjoying the ride:)

Okay after climbing up the hill in the ball...we finally suited up for the ride down! and i had to put that nose thing coz i was so afraid water would go up my nose!!! which it did because it was like being in a washing machine except we were strapped down.......I know I look like I am going to the loo....eheheh

Jason......

Us three gals!all wet!

OOhh...and the way you go in and out is through this lil hole....coming out is by sliding out...pretty interesting!!!!!!!

Group pics in front of the two balls at Lake Titiwangsa while we were still calm

Unleash the craziness!!!!! okay we were asked to jump but only half did as you can see....super bad timing everyone!!!!

What can I say????I love all of this adventurous stuff..do not be fooled by the distance the ball rolls because I promise you..... when you are in it rolling...it feels like eternity because it is constant adrenaline rush for a few looooong seconds...!!! And the people working there was amazing.....they were so kind and fun!! They even told me that there is the longest water sphering experience in Asia located in Malaysia!!!!about 200m, and the ball bounces, it is located in gemas!!! I am for sure going for that soon!!when I get back to Malaysia..who wants to join me?????!!???

In the meantime...enjoy the pics!!! and if you go for it..have fun!! bring extra clothes....towel and put some sunscreen:)

ATV in the jungle

As you can read, this post is about one of my experiences of riding an ATV in the jungle...my 2nd time actually. I know....people never ever think I actually do outdoorsy stuff but trust me, I love it especially when it involves speed!!!!!

The location of the ATV ride was in HUlu Kelang. We contacted the tour guides for our adventure as their phone numbers are listed on their website: http://www.atvmalaysia.net/ and they were very cooperative. It is by trust system that you reserved the ATV's from a certain time and on what date and they trust that you will be there, so don't be late or else you will be holding the next group up...!!!

Anyways.............you have to drive quite deep into the forest to arrive at the location and it is basically marked....then the tour guide would teach you how to ride and they ensure safety because they even have a mini trail you can practice on before going into the jungle! They have brand new ATV's too..so much easier to ride than last year's. Last year, we had to manually change the gear but that definitely tests our skills~wink~
Our Home rock! It's where all the pics are taken:)marks the beginning of our journey!
The ownerexplaining the trip to us,very friendly and super clean place!
THe ATV's behind us...brand new!
I know what you are thinking! poor ATV! our weight!
Koh Beng and the ATV????hhmm...wonder what's happening there!
We get to stop at this beatiful waterfall to chill! We climbed down to take a dip..super nice
Before we begin.......
The crazier we get...i know...we climbed the log!!!
The water was lear and it was sooo refreshing sitting under the waterfall....Nice!
with our guide..he was really good and helped us throughout!
After the waterfall, we were alll super wet but the ride back was amazing as the winde blew us dry???!!?? with leaves and stuff flying through our hair...hhmmm...sounds romantic huh???hehe....but it was really nice if you speed through the jungle back...we had a few mishaps back which was pretty hillarious.....can't mentioned it here as they would kill me!sorry!

But you guys out there should definitely go make memories of your own and as for me, I would keep ging on the different trails they have! The next one I plan to conquer is the 6 hour one where we actually eat lunch at another state and then come back!! So excited! Probably the next time I get back to Malaysia:)

Lovely Krabi

Thailand Thailand Thailand!!!! What have I got to say but that I love Thailand and everything about it. I usually go to Bangkok for the shopping but this time I went to Krabi..don't ask me why as I live in Hawaii and have the beach there too...........but a dear friend of mine loveess the beach, so we decided to go soak in some sand, salt water and fishes???????????????

Of couse...we went off to a great start...as you all know in the month of July there was the crazy H1N1 virus going around and we were admittedly quite scared, so we wore masks on the plane.....NOT GOOD! It's like smelling your own breath mix with disgusting cabin air.....but it helps psychologically knowing that whoever sneezes or coughs, you don't go turning around and glaring at the person....I saw many people doing that...!

We were not expecting much of our hotel...as we paid RM550 each for a 3 days 2 night stay plus round trip airfare plus breakfast...butttttt....it was a nice hotell...I was impressed to say the least...:) Air Asia rocks!

We had an inifinity pool!!!!!!
So...the story as to how we got to this restaurant was erm.....so funny, it's even embarrasing..... We were reommended by the receptioninst at the hotel and she even gave us directions syaing it was a 10 minute walk away. We walked for a good 5 minutes under the scorching sun and we suddently saw tuk tuk's.....guess what? we gave up walking and hailed a tuk tuk and we asked him where the restaaurant was...he said round the bend but we thought it was still far.....so we hopped on....and guess what? it was just one second away.....you should have seen our faces when we saw the restaurant...we were incredulous to say the least and we still paid the guy money which could have taken us somewhere further away perhaps????!!??? yeap..great start to a holiday:)
of course our massage by the beach and we got rambutans afterwards too!!!
my ugly ugly outfit..did not realize it....but what the heck??its a holiday!!!!before we went on our island hopping tour:)
The beautiful scenery...hard to take pictures on the speedboat!!! but I looveee how fast it went although it was kinda rocky...do not eat lunch befor eyou go on one of these!

Chicken island! do you see the shape????
Jayden and us.He was a little boy we met on the trip..he is adorable:)
The island where the movie "the beach" was filmed...and Tan doing her buddha pose! How cool is that..she fits right in
the waters were really clear with the many shades of blue
They were feeding the monkey's..our boat was so close to these monkey's that you can literally touch them..daring! and well...to be honest....I ran to the edge of the boat but the opposite side coz I was scared of the monkeys!!I know!so...it's a safe bet that I did not take this picture
we snorkelled here...the fishes were all over the place.....felt like I was being eaten by fishes...did not help that the tour guide kept throwing food into the water where we swam so the fishes could come near us!!! freaked me out!!have a nightmare of it since the fish spa!
Of course....we had to rush back after a long day of island hopping to quickly change and go to our massage for the last time..and in a tuk tuk of course!!!
It was a great trip and I cheap on top of that:) I can never get these kinds of deals in the USA sadly....so you guys in Malaysia! Enjoy the perks of Air Asia!

The first Nikonian photography boutique in Malaysia

Hey everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of my posts in the near future will be from when I went back to Malaysia for the summer. It was a great summer and just wanna highlight my most memorable and exciting ones(well....the ones which I basically had pictures for)

One of the weekends back in Malaysia, a friend of mine told me he and a few partners were opening a photography boutique in Malaysia and it will be the first. He asked me whether I wantes to emcee for the event and I was thinking "definitely" as I know it would be fun and I wasn't wrong!

Well, everything went as planned and this was one of the first events I went too that started on time and was following schedule(kudos to you guys!!!) which is a plus in my books. To calm my jittery nerves as the turned out was big, I of course took photos with Andrew Boey, partner of the boutique and Nikonian academy pioneer!!catch him before he starts getting busy!

Congratulations Andrew!!Look at how happy he is.....:)

Started my emceeing/hosting the event basically....I think my emceeing got better as the night went on...at the beginning...I think it was rather hard to get everyon's attention because it was sooooooooooooo hot! Once everyone got food in their stomachs, their response was much better.Okay..fine!! no excuses...I was probably the one at fault!!sorrylar...have not been doing this in Hawaii.....rusty already!

The ribbon cutting ceremony time! The two main guys..Sean and Andrew! For people that don't know them...let me tell you..they can host one good event and they can joke as well!
All the pics you see is thanks to mommy dearest:)
My grandma and aunt came to give me support...hugggzzzzzz..
The night's entertaintment! Fire eating performers! It's inhuman how they can perform those stunts. As for the rest of us, let's just stick to eating ice.
Guess who I saw there? My friend Christina and her boyfriend actually going to this super tasty nyona restaurant nearby. They basically heard my voice(never knew it was so loud) and drop by to see me...sweet:)
Final performance of the night before allowing everyone to see the inside of the boutique...basically no one was allowed in till he showed us some Micheal Jackson moves...he was smooth and he did a great moonwalk! sorry for lack of photos...not really good at this yet!He switched songs every 30 minutes and his dance changes toooooo...amazing i tell you.
Not forgetting Michelle, Andrew's wife who was one of the main organizers and definitely keeping everything in check...Wonderful lady!!!
I did not get to take any pictures of the boutique inside which I should have done before it opened(silly me!) because when the doors opened, all the photographers rushed inside like there was no tomorrow, just like if I told most girls that One Utama(Malaysia) or Ala Moana(Hawaii) is having a 75% sale on all stores! Can you imagine that scene???????????????
Except that the poor lion cub would be akin to the store assistants!
