Boy was I excited when Tim asked me to join him for a wine tasting...At first I thought, "will it be like the one in Hawaii?" but he got me jumping up and down when he told me..."IT"S DINNER + WINE TASTING!" The idea of wine paired with delicious food kept me going as I was stuck in a horrible traffic jam for 2 hours while heading to G tower hotel......... Traffic in Malaysia is sooooo bad!!!
All's good when I arrived and saw the lovely table settings with the wine glasses and cutleries...and of course...great ambience....:) Plus, I wasn't late....~woot~ because other people were also stuck in a traffic jam!(Good luck to people who work in KL!!!I don't know how you drive down and back everyday.....hats off to you......)
Special menu for the night which includes the different types of wine we will be drinking... I though it was really reasonably priced for the amount of food given and surplus of wine.... I remember paying USD20 for 4 or 5 squirts of wine in Hawaii.....ZzzzZZZ....
We even had a wine consultant(Jonathan Chai) from Alberts wine that told us a little bit more about each wine we drank and where it came from...he was kind enough to share further information for our knowledge...such as...pinot noir is good paired with sashimi( I have to know this..I heart Japanese food).....hehe.....Plus, he actually worked in a wine shop in Texas for many years before coming home...thank goodness he did, or else, we will be lacking a "wine talent" :)
Andy with a glass of champagne and the bottle(it's all his!!!or so he wishes..hehehe)
or is it all MINE?????
Wanna see the delicious food?!?
Hickory smoked chicken salad with Italian Chardonnay.....the wine was light, fruity and goes extremely well with both the starters....In addition, Jonathan told us that it is THAT kind of wine that doesn't give you headaches..!!yay!!!
Light Spicy crustacean bisque..... Love the hint of spice in the soup....Appetizing!slurp!
Baked Atlantic Cod fish served with the same Chardonnay
The rest ordered roasted beef tenderloin which was served with Red wine..... Remember guys, beef goes well with reds....hhmm....beef is also red meat...that makes sense....:p
Kahlua creme brulee
Of course group pictures!!!!!
