Malaysia's own Okotoberfest

[Advertorial]

It's THAT time of the year again where everyone who looooveesss drinking get to celebrate for the whole month. What is it? It's not Halloween, it's not Deepavali but  it's Malaysia's very own Oktoberfest! Remember to "like" their page to find out further information at : http://www.facebook.com/malaysiasownoktoberfest

When everyone in the USA used to celebrate it, I was a little bored mainly because I can't drink, but I would definitely be hyped up by the fact that everyone decides to go all out and drink because it's a celebration. Up till now, I don't know what Oktoberfest really is except that "it's an excuse for people to drink all month long" LOL!

Just found out that Oktoberfest is actually a Bavarian national festival, and Carlsberg Malaysia has actually brought this renown festival for all us Malaysians to enjoy in our country. I thought I wouldn't be able to enjoy the festivities of Oktoberfest anymore, but now I still do, and it's bigger, livelier and much more FUNNNNN!!!!!

This time, Carlsberg brought in an authentic slew of celebrations for us by having:

Traditional German singers and performers

Not forgetting beautiful girls dressed in German outfits which are the hostesses for every event

Games, a ton of them!

And of course, Beer and loads of it which includes popular German brews that are imported namely Erdinger Weissbier, Franziskaner Weissbier and Lowenbrau

In case you are wondering, what these four beers are, here is a wee bit of information for those beer afficionadoes out there:

Carlsberg (5% ABV/ alcohol), a lager beer founded by J.C. Jacobsen in 1847 and is an international beer originating from Denmark. (You guys should already know this)
Erdinger Weissbier (5.3% ABV), pioneered in the 70's, was the first German wheat to be distributed nationwide in Germany. Erdinger is brewed according to traditional recipes and has no preservatives, additives and pasteurization, complying with the Bavarian Purity Law 1516. Served in dark or light.
Franziskaner Weissbier (5% ABV), a traditional Bavarian wheat beer with more than 600 years of history, is refreshing and aromatic in character. This Bavarian beer is naturally cloudy and copper-coloured and enhanced with a sweet malt taste with a smooth creamy texture for finish.
Lowenbrau, (5.2% ABV), an original "German Munich Beer", is famous at Oktoberfests. It is a lager beer that is refreshing with a taste of malt and mild hop bitterness. The beer is light to the taste, bright golden yellow in colour, and tryly complements the Bavarian drinking experience
Best part, they come in huge Oktoberfest mugs like this! You can take home these mugs once you are done with your beer...

Are you guys excited to try out these events already? Don't fret because it is a month long extravaganza which started in Berjaya Times Square on the 28th of September and will be ongoing at over 25 participating outlets and 18 market squares throughout Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Seremban and Johor. If you have never been to Germany or heard of Oktoberfest, it's time for all of you to taste a lil bit of Germany in Malaysia with their performances, music, beers, and even food, which is specially prepared by a German chef, Jochern Kern. Yum Yum & BURRPPPPZ!

For those who have attended these events and want to actually visit Germany for yourself plus drink tons of beer, you can also stand a chance to win "The Ultimate Beer Tour" which is a 6 day/ 5 night trip to Munich, Germany and Copenhagen, Denmark with 2 friends by participating in their Facebook contest on their page.
Remember guys to join me at some of their events in PJ and KL by supporting their facebook fanpage HERE  to find out their next location!!

Made life easier for you, the HUGE events are listed on this flyer!

Cheers,
Meiz
