Al-Amar Express - Lebanese food in the heart of KL

Have you ever tried Lebanese food before???????? Do you know that there's a popular Lebanese restaurant that's located in the city center??????

Don't think so right? Many people assume or think that Lebanese food is similar to Middle Eastern food but it is NOT, because I made that same mistake before I entered the latest "express" Lebanese cafe called Al-Amar in front of Farenheit 88 mall....*eeepppssss*

Was basically attracted by the unique decor which had al-fresco dining area and an interior where you can peek at your chef cooking... gets me hungry ALL the time!

Greeted by a woody al-fresco exterior

The other al-fresco portion which had more plants, saves you from the ongoing pollution from the traffic, I kinda like this part better because it's like a mini oasis

Shisha galore

The interior which faces the open concept kitchen

A sneak peek to what I saw before I put the actual food in my stomach? Allows my imagination to run WILD!

Grilling meat

Lebanese chef making the pizza

LOOK at the pizza!!! Wait till you see the end product below

A charcoal barbeque pit built in for your skewered meat and vege's

These roasted chicken definitely got me salivating... enough pictures already...time to EAT!!!

BUT....I actually couldn't understand what was on the original menu,as I suspect many others would have the same problem....So, Al-Amar express actually packaged their best dishes into a lunch set for us consumers....yippieee!!

There are four choices of set lunches, but within each set, you can choose exactly what you want from the salads to the starters...

The waiters were knowledgeble enough to recommend suitable choices for us to pick for the salads, breads, and dips...

Ralph and his Lebanese coffee, don't you think the coffee holder looks like a lamp from Aladdin? ( I know, I know, I am LAME)

Lebanese beer Almaza which Ralph insisted is a MUST try for alcoholic beavers!

This lebanese bread..... what a horribly embarrasing story? Remember how I told you I was hungry??? Well, when this bread came in first before our meals, I actually thought it was bread you eat before your meal like in an Italian restaurant.... To my dismay, it was plain tasting and Ralph actually told me the bread goes with the dips that comes in with the set lunch...*blush*

And now...on to the introduction of the set lunches...

Roasted chicken set with moutabal and tabbouleh

The Baguette sandwiches combo with coleslaw, moutabal and three different types of pastries

The Lebanese sandwiches combo, with hommos(a delicious dip for the bread) and tabbouleh

In my opinion, many new Lebanese food goers should get this set, the combination was perfect! Fattouch with hommos, and the delicious Lebanese pizza:)

Not leaving this place without trying their homemade ice cream! PLEASE get the strawberry sorbet and vanilla one...it's unlike any I've tasted before!! Heavenly..

Some group pictures before I left

My first experience with Lebanese food was unique and tasty to say the least *winkz* Don't be afraid to try it guys, it's located in front of Farenheit 88 mall! If you are confused about anything, their friendly waiters will help you through the menu and set lunches:)

As I recommend many of you to try out Lebanese food at Al-Amar Express, I am giving out four vouchers , each worth RM20 off your total price for food and beverage. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me which continent Lebanon is located in?

xoxo
